A. Mason Yacht Design Specifications

The following Design Specification tables partially list (in L.O.A. ascending order) the currently available A. Mason designs for construction in wood, steel or fiberglass.

Many of the smaller designs were created as build-it-yourself projects and were originally published in various boating publications, notably The Yachtsman, The Rudder, and Mechanix Illustrated, during the 1930s - 1960s.

Originally custom designed for specific individuals, or companies, many of the larger designs are now available as stock designs. Other designs were the result of an idea based on the then current trends in design which Al decided to develop in his own inimitable manner.

Please note that over the years, Al occasionally assigned the same name to more than one design, hence the design numbers following the design name, as well as the year the design was created. In some cases, the design name has been changed to facilitate differentiating between two or more very similar design names or types.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER
The MASON Series (MASON 34, MASON 44, MASON 52, MASON 54, & MASON 64) marketed by Pacific Asian Enterprises, Inc. (PAE) were not designed by naval architect Alvin Mason, nor were they ever authorized or approved by Al Mason. Any advertising claims to the contrary (including any inferences to Al Mason's reputation through the use of the word MASON) are bogus!
